Beware of These Viagra Side Effects
It may seem strange to a few people to talk about Viagra side effects since some who have read up on the medication may know that curing erectile dysfunction was actually a side effect of another medication that was then eventually developed into what we now call Viagra! Yes, the little blue pill that so many men take for erectile dysfunction was actually first being developed as a heart pill to treat high blood pressure, angina, circulatory problems, and other such issues. But for those who do use this medication, there seems to be a mindset that it's not one to be taken seriously; since it's used to treat a sexual dysfunction people often think of it as just a way for a man to become aroused the way one would use pornography or other sexual objects. But unfortunately there are many Viagra side effects that a patient should be aware of because this is a very serious and very powerful medication. It is not to be taken lightly.
Even those who take Viagra are often ignorant of exactly how it works. They assume that Viagra actually gives a man an erection. In truth. Viagra stops the dysfunction a man may have that interrupts the process of him getting an erection. Because of this it's a common Viagra side effect for a man to have an erection lasting for an unnaturally long time. While this may sound like good news to some, in reality the overuse of the penis during sexual activity can actually injure it, and when a man has an unnaturally prolonged erection due to Viagra he may not realize that he is actually doing physical harm.
Other common Viagra side effects include blurred vision, headache, facial flushing, upset stomach, and sensitivity to light. These are not usually very severe and rarely do they cause someone to stop using this medication.
In rare cases the chemical processes of Viagra have caused some men to have a sudden and temporary loss of vision. While this is typically rare it is recommended that you seek medical treatment if you have a loss of vision while using Viagra. Another uncommon Viagra side effect is a sudden loss of hearing.
Rarely do men who experience any of these side effects report that they are severe enough to warrant not taking the medication. Most men have quite a bit of success with Viagra and enjoy sexual expression once again. However, every man is different and of course only your doctor can tell you is Viagra is right for you and if any of these Viagra side effects are dangerous enough for you to stop taking the medication.
